Jacqui’s work focusses on migrant integration and inclusion, with specialisms on the local dimension of refugee resettlement, irregular migration and local welfare systems (in particular the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) condition in the UK.) Jacqui is interested in how public opinion on migration and integration shapes narratives – and how policy makers pro-actively develop new stories of inclusion, alongside other interventions such as language learning, orientation, employment and support and promoting community contact. Jacqui’s work on knowledge exchange highlights how research insights can most effectively shape policy and practice and she is always keen to develop new partnerships.
